Fall Flow

As autumn sets in we shift our practice to one that focuses on releasing stored heat and inflammation from the summer. Expect longer holds with poses, creating vibration in the body, and working towards our peak winter pose (this year is crow). When this is done properly, we release the fire of pitta (fire & water dosha) to help prevent a weakened immune system in the fall, so that when we are exposed to illness, our strong immune system tackles it quickly.
In the fall, the Vata dosha is most present, which can result in dryness, constipation, and anxiety. This time of year it is important to hydrate, incorporate oil massage into your routine, and ingest warmer foods. Contact us for more dietary tips on the Vata dosha
